Koiwai Daisuke / 小岩井 大輔
Daisuke Koiwai is a young photographer who stays at the summit of Japan during summer to take photos that are possible only from the summit of Mount Fuji. He captures brilliant lights falling from outer space and imprints mysterious colors made by nature. Enjoy the world of Koiwai, which can be captured only between outer space and the elevation of 3,776 meters.
In 1996, he won a prize in the NHK Photo Contest ”Fujisan (Mt. Fuji)”. He was the youngest winner (21 years old) in the history of the contest. He has since won many prizes, including the Shiro Shirohata Award. He published a photo collection “Mt. FUJI 3776: The world of the summit of Mt. Fuji.” From October 17 to 23, 2013, he held a photo exhibition “Summer on the Summit of Mt. Fuji with OM-DE-M5” at the Olympus Gallery. He appeared in a nature documentary TV program “Our Earth: 100 Stunning Views of Mt Fuji” broadcast by BS Asahi.
Shirai Hiromasa / 白井 宏征
Mount Fuji shows various appearances depending on where you see it from and the season. For over 40 years since being enchanted by its magnificent shape, Shirai has been sedulous to head to shooting points with a heavy camera and big tripod. In 1985, the Mt. Fuji Photographers Association Exhibition was held. In 1994, he published a photo collection commemorating the 10th anniversary of the foundation of the Mt. Fuji Photographers Association Exhibition. Since then, he has held the Mt. Fuji Shukei Exhibition each year. He appeared in an NHK’s TV program Ittorokken Tanzawa Nabewariyama.He has won prizes in many contests. He is the president of the Fuji Photographers Association.
Anno Jiro / 安野 二朗
He is a color magician who captures the beautiful colors and luster of Mt. Fuji while living at the edge of Lake Yamanaka at the base of Mt. Fuji. His large powerful prints showcase the beautiful colors of Mt. Fuji in a dynamic manner. He loads his car with photography equipment and drives around the mountain to capture the best moment.
He held a personal exhibition at the Kodak Photo Salon Ginza in 2005; at the Yuyake Koyake Gallery (Shinzo Maeda Gallery 2F) in 2005; at the Fuji Photo Salon Ginza in 2007; and at the HCL Photo Gallery Shinjukugyoen in 2011 and 2012. He has won the Grand Prix and many other prizes in domestic photo contests and those held in the neighborhood of Mt. Fuji, including Grand Prix, at the 11th Amaterasu Photo Contest in 2007.
